The Master of Science in Microbial Biotechnology is a two-year postgraduate programme that builds expertise in microbial physiology, genetics, fermentation, applied microbiology and industrial bioprocesses — preparing students for biotech, pharma and food industry, research and academia.

Bachelor's degree in any branch of Biological Sciences including Biotechnology. Admission is by merit — 50% from PU CET-PG entrance and 50% from the qualifying examination, as detailed in the table above.
Pharmaceutical and biotech industry, food and beverage industry, fermentation and bioprocess units, environmental biotechnology, R&D laboratories, college and university teaching (after NET/PhD), and PhD studies in microbiology and biotechnology.
