All RRC activities are organised in partnership with the Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society (SACS) and the Department of Youth Affairs, ensuring authoritative guidance and statewide reach.
An HIV/AIDS Awareness and Blood Safety Programme was organised at the College, with Mr. Sunil Kumar Panghal, Assistant Director (Youth Affairs) and Incharge (Blood Safety Programme), as the Resource Person. The expert was felicitated by Principal Dr. Navjot Kaur in recognition of the valuable session delivered to our students.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, Dr. Harpreet Bali, Coordinator of the Red Ribbon Club at SGGSC Sector 26, was felicitated by the Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society for her dedicated coordination of awareness programmes and tireless contribution to youth health initiatives across the campus.
Observing World AIDS Day and the theme "End Inequalities. End AIDS. End Pandemics.", a large number of our students participated in the 4th Bicycle Rally "Cyclothon" for HIV/AIDS awareness. Our students proudly bagged prizes in the accompanying quiz competition, demonstrating both physical participation and intellectual engagement on the issue.
RRC volunteers prepared an awareness video highlighting the grave causes and effects of HIV/AIDS. The student-led production was used to spread the message of prevention and de-stigmatisation across digital platforms, reaching a far wider audience than physical events alone.
Winners of the Short Video Making Competition on Blood Donation were awarded by Principal Dr. Navjot Kaur. The competition encouraged creative storytelling around the theme of voluntary blood donation, showcasing student talent in service of public health messaging.
