Discipline at SGGS

Code of Conduct for Students

All students of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College are expected to observe the following standards of conduct, both within the College campus and outside.

1. Good Conduct, Always

Students are expected to observe good conduct both inside and outside the College campus.

2. Substance & Cards Prohibited

Smoking, consumption of alcohol / drugs and playing cards are strictly prohibited in the College campus as well as Hostel premises.

3. Image of the Institution

Students should not be involved in any activity which tarnishes the image of the institution. They should observe discipline and treat the College property with care. Sticking posters or advertisements or scribbling on the walls of the College during elections or otherwise is strictly prohibited.

4. Outsiders

Students are not allowed to bring or invite outsiders to the College campus as well as Hostel except their parents and authorised guardians.

5. Mobile Phones

Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the academic building. Erring students are liable to be fined and their mobiles will be confiscated. Principal can impose fines, suspend or rusticate a student even without calling for an explanation.

6. Parental Co-operation

Parents / guardians are requested to co-operate with College authorities in the maintenance of discipline and peaceful atmosphere in the College in the interest of their wards.

7. ID Cards & Notice Board

Students must carry ID cards to the College daily and must read the Notice Board daily to keep abreast with daily activities and announcements. Ignorance shall not be accepted as an excuse for non-compliance.

8. Valuables

Students are not advised not to bring heavy cash, jewellery or any expensive item to the College. The College will not be responsible for any loss.

9. Vehicles on Campus

Students are not allowed to park their four-wheeler vehicles inside the College campus.

10. Principal's Decision

The Principal's decision shall be final and binding.

11. Prospectus Alterations

The contents of the prospectus are subject to alteration by the Principal and alterations so made shall be binding on the students.
