The database is developed and maintained by the Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET) with financial support from the National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT). It serves as the official reference for selecting expert panels for committees and task-forces established by ministries and government establishments for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
